On December 1st, Jiangxi Nerin Electrical & Automation Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Nerin, successfully won the bid for the Slag Slow Cooling Yard Intelligent System under the Comprehensive Recovery Technology Upgrading, Relocation, and Expansion Project of Polymetallic Complex Gold-Silver Ores of Yingkou C&D Shenghai Non-ferrous Metal & Chemical Technology Co., Ltd.. This successful bid marks another significant breakthrough of China Nerin in the field of digital-intelligent applications, laying a solid foundation for subsequent project implementation and technology promotion.

The Relocation and Expansion Project of Yingkou C&D Shenghai Non-ferrous Metal & Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. is located in the Coastal Industrial Base of Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, covering approximately 2,254 mou. It encompasses a comprehensive production system and public & auxiliary facilities spanning the entire process from the incoming of copper concentrate to the output of cathode copper and valuable by-products. As the provider responsible for the project's overall design, supply of critical intelligent equipment, and partial EPC work, China Nerin leverages its accumulated technical expertise and extensive practical experience in the digital-intelligent field within the non-ferrous metals industry to precisely align with the project's intelligent upgrading requirements, and will provide robust support for the efficient, green, and intelligent operation of the smelting slag processing system.

This project will extensively implement China Nerin's self-developed NDI Digital-Intelligent Solution to establish a four-tier architecture comprising the "Production Management Layer, Intelligent Scheduling Layer, Control Layer, and Execution Layer". It integrates multiple subsystems, including intelligent scheduling of the slag slow cooling yard, slag ladle tilting control, slag ladle weighing, positioning, and automatic spraying, to enable the intelligent scheduling and automated operation of slag ladle carriers, slag ladle tilting devices, and the spraying system. The system will optimize the core algorithms of China Nerin, which won the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, to implement full lifecycle management of slag ladles, make precise control over the cooling process and accurate slag volume statistics, and effectively tackle specific industry pain points prevalent in traditional slag slow cooling yards, such as frequent human-machine interaction, higher safety risks, and insufficient data transparency.

After the project is constructed, the system will achieve fully automated operation across the entire process, including slag ladle positioning, path planning, and spraying control. This will effectively support stable slag discharge from the side-blown smelting furnace and enable continuous  production of three series-connected furnaces, significantly reducing labor intensity while comprehensively enhancing operational efficiency and intrinsic safety level. Simultaneously, through centralized data dashboards and statistical analysis functions, it will provide precise data support for enterprises’ production decision-making, driving quality and efficiency improvements in the digital-intelligent transformation of slag processing system.
